PTA Reflections: What My Culture Means to Me

Oak Creek Elementary PTA invites all students to participate in the 2026–2027 National PTA Reflections® Arts Program!
This year’s theme is:
“What My Culture Means to Me”
Reflections is a nationwide National PTA arts program that gives students across the country an opportunity to express themselves through art and share their creativity. Each year, students participate through their local PTAs and have the opportunity to receive recognition for their original work.
🎨 Visual Arts
Oak Creek Elementary PTA is offering the Visual Arts category this year.
Students are invited to create an original painting or drawing inspired by this year’s theme:
“What My Culture Means to Me”
Artwork must be created by one student and should be a new, original piece of work created for the Reflections program.
Each entry must also include an original title and artist statement explaining the student’s artwork and connection to the theme.
📚 Grade Divisions
Students will participate in the division that corresponds to their grade:
Primary: Pre-K–Grade 2
Intermediate: Grades 3–5
Middle School: Grade 6
♿️ Accessible Arts
Accessible Arts is an optional participation pathway for students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA Section 504. It provides accommodations designed to help students participate fully in the Reflections program. Students participating through Accessible Arts also select the grade-level division.
📝 How to Submit Your Entry
Step 1: Complete the online submission form
Submit your entry online by: October 12, 2026
The online form will ask you to provide your entry information, upload your artwork, and complete the required signatures.
Step 2: Upload your artwork
Upload a digital image/file of your original artwork through the online submission form.
Step 3: Get the required signatures
A student signature and parent/guardian signature are required for each entry.
Step 4: Drop off your original artwork
Please bring your original artwork to the Oak Creek Elementary front office.
