SEPTEMBER
1 Classes Posted after 5 pm
2 First Day of School
Welcome Breakfast
The welcome breakfast provides parents with the opportunity to reunite with friends and enjoy coffee and a snack before heading off for the day.
Kindergarten Back to School
This is an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and receive important classroom information.
3 Minimum Day
6 No School - Labor Day
8-30 NEW! - Fall Pledge & Membership Drive
This is one of our 2 major fundraisers for the year. Please support Oak Creek with this important event.
T-shirt Pre-sale
Yearbook Pre-sale
15 Reflections Art Workshop 1.30 - 2.30 pm
Come by the MPR to get ideas, helpful hints and inspiration for your child's entry in the statewide PTA art contest. This year's theme is "Together We Can".
16 Picture Day
Back to School Night
- 1st – 3rd Grade 6.00 - 6.45 pm
- 4th – 6th Grade 6.45 - 7.30 pm
This Parent ONLY event is an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and receive important classroom information.
21 PTA General Association Meeting 7 - 8 pm
All members are welcome to come to this informative night (in the MPR.)
24 Fall Social - Family Movie Night
Bring your blankets and chairs to the grass area to watch a FREE movie the whole family can enjoy (FREE popcorn too!)
30 PTA Provided Assembly
All Oak Creek students will attend an action packed assembly on the importance of conflict resolution, providing tools and creative solutions for resolving differences.
OCTOBER
11-14 Reflections Art Contest Entries Due
This year's theme is "Together We Can". Categories of art include photography, drawing, dance, video, etc.
11-19 Parent Conferences (Minimum Days)
12 PTA Executive Board Meeting 10 - 11 am
15 Box Tops Contest Deadline
Clip Box Top Forms from many of your favorite products to raise money for Oak Creek. Classes with the most box tops win fun prizes!
22 Fall Social - International Fair 4 - 6 pm
Come join other oak Creek families as we celebrate the different cultures represented in our school community.
25-29 Red Ribbon Week
This week long drug awareness program includes activities like "Pennies for Prevention" - start saving your pennies!
27 Reflections Awards Show 1.45 - 2.45 pm
Stop by the MPR to view the spectacular submissions to this year's statewide art contest.
28 Walk to School Day
This is an IPSF (Irvine Public Schools Foundation) district-wide event. Please consider walking your child to school on this day.
NOVEMBER
1 Make Up Picture Day
2 PTA Executive Board Meeting 10 - 11 am
11-12 No School - Veterans Day Observance
15-19 Fall Book Fair
Come to the MPR during lunch or after school to purchase scholastic books. A percentage of all sales go back to enrich our school library.
22-24 No School - Furlough Days
25-26 No School - Thanksgiving Recess

8 Staff Holiday Luncheon
PTA provided holiday celebration for Oak Creek teachers and staff.

An informative night for parents of children that will be starting Kindergarten in September 2011.
APRIL
7 PTA Provided Assembly
All K-3rd grade students will attend an assembly on Endangered Species to raise awareness of the affects we have on our planet and the animals we share it with.
8 Spring Fling - Carnival
Come join other Oak Creek families for this fun event. The evening will include dinner, games, raffles, cakewalk and more!

18-22 SPRING BREAK
MAY
2-6 Teacher Appreciation Week
Students, parents and PTA all show their appreciation for Oak Creek teachers and staff.
10 PTA Executive Board Meeting 10 - 11 am
15 Irvine Junior Games
This district-wide event supports the Irvine Children's Fund. 4th through 6th grade students have an opportunity to participate in this fun track and field day.
19 PTA Provided Assembly
All 4th-6th grade students will attend a performance of "By the Great Horn Spoon". This curriculum based book is brought to life by the Laguna Playhouse performers.
24-26 Spring Book Fair
Come to the MPR during lunch or after school to purchase scholastic books. A percentage of all sales go back to enrich our school library.
26 Open House - Minimum Day 6.30 - 7.30 pm
Take a tour through your child's classroom and see all the wonderful work they have created this school year.
JUNE
